Workshop on Hybrid Electronics for Wearable Intelligence (2016/05/21 SEIEE 3-100)
日期:2016-05-19 阅读:1397

About the Workshop

The transition from portable to wearable is regarded as an inevitable trend for electronic devices. By augmenting the items we wear or even our bodies with processors, displays, sensors and wireless transceivers, wearable electronics is expected to enhance human intelligence in a seamless and conformable way. Such wearable intelligence is going to extend our senses of hearing, smelling, tasting and touching, shape our personal habits, and bring disruptive solutions to healthcare. To turn the wearable intelligence into reality, all the components including displays, sensors, and batteries must be re-engineered to fit into a system with severe constraints in cost, power and form factor. New materials, devices and processing technologies are thus needed to be developed considering these system requirements. This workshop is to provide a platform for experts from different backgrounds (materials, devices, circuits and systems) to exchange their views and ideas, and find cross-level collaboration opportunities to address the challenges of making wearable electronics to be an intelligent help rather than an ornament or even a hindrance.
